The PD-10-30 Pentek Comparable Tier1 Spun Wound Polypropylene Filter. This 30 x 2.5 inch spun wound polypropylene filter inhibits bacterial growth and serves as a layer of defense for your plumbing and health from potential water contaminant hazards. This filter ensures you are reducing water contaminants such as dirt, sediment, and silt. Spun wound filters have a higher dirt holding capacity than string wound filters which means you will get the most bang from your buck for the 6 months this filter is rated for. After this point you could otherwise experience lower flow rates as an indicator that the filter is heavily bogged down with contaminants. When replacing the filter it is recommended to replace your O-ring as well to help prevent leaking and keep your system functioning at its highest capacity. Let Tier1 be your water experts and protect every drop.
